7-Day Balearic Islands Itinerary

The Balearic Islands offer four distinct island personalities within easy reach of each other — the electric energy of Ibiza, the dramatic mountains of Mallorca, the unspoiled nature of Menorca, and the Caribbean-clear lagoons of Formentera. This 7-day itinerary takes in the highlights of all four, with flexibility built in to linger wherever you fall in love.

Best SeasonBest May – October. Peak July–August. Ideal late June or September for calmer conditions and fewer crowds.

Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1 — Palma de Mallorca

Embarkation Day

Board in Palma, Mallorca. Meet the crew, get settled, and enjoy a welcome dinner at anchor in the Bay of Palma. The illuminated Gothic cathedral reflected in the evening water is a memorable first impression. Overnight: Palma marina or anchor in the bay.

Day 2 — Mallorca South Coast → Es Trenc

Mallorca’s Wild South

Depart Palma westward, rounding Mallorca’s dramatic Cape Blanc and anchoring off Es Trenc — one of Mallorca’s most beautiful unspoiled beaches, accessible only by water and on foot. Lunch at anchor, afternoon swimming and paddleboarding. Continue east to Colònia de Sant Jordi for the night.

Day 3 — Mallorca → Ibiza (Formentera)

Into the Pitiuses

Morning sail south to the Pitiuses archipelago. Stop at Formentera’s Ses Illetes — a sand spit with impossibly clear water that regularly appears on ‘world’s best beaches’ lists. Afternoon swim stop. Continue to Ibiza’s south coast for the night.

Day 4 — Ibiza

The White Island

A full day exploring Ibiza. Morning: sail to the dramatic cliff arch at Es Vedra for photos and a swim. Afternoon: anchor off one of Ibiza’s famous beach clubs (Amante, Cala Bassa). Evening: dock in Ibiza town, walk the UNESCO World Heritage Dalt Vila old city, dinner in town.

Day 5 — Ibiza → Mallorca North (Deià)

Northern Coast & the Mountains

Early morning departure north to Mallorca’s extraordinary north-west coast — the Serra de Tramuntana mountains dropping sheer into the sea. Anchor in the coves below the artists’ village of Deià. Snorkel the crystal-clear water. Day hike possible. Overnight: anchor below Sa Foradada rock arch.

Day 6 — Mallorca North Coast → Menorca

To the Untouched Island

Sail east along Mallorca’s northern cape towards Menorca. Anchor off Mallorca’s Cap de Formentor — lunch at the famous beach before the crowds arrive by road. Afternoon passage to Menorca. Explore the southern calas by tender. Overnight: Cala Galdana or Cala Macarella.

Day 7 — Menorca → Palma

Final Day

A gentle morning exploring Menorca’s coves by tender — Cala Macarella and Cala Turqueta are unmissable. Farewell lunch at anchor in the clearest water of the trip. Afternoon sail back to Palma for disembarkation.
