Booking a luxury crewed yacht charter through The Balearic Yacht Broker is straightforward and completely guided by Josh throughout. Here is the process from first enquiry to setting sail — and everything in between.

1. Initial Consultation
   It starts with a conversation. Contact Josh by email, phone, or WhatsApp and share the basics: your preferred dates, number of guests, destination ideas, and budget. There is no obligation and no sales pressure — just an honest, expert conversation about what is possible and what would suit your group best. Josh will often suggest destinations or yacht types you might not have considered.
2. Tailored Yacht Selection & Proposal
   Based on your brief, Josh searches our global network of over 3,000 yachts and curates a shortlist of the best-matched options. You receive a clear, detailed proposal for each yacht: full specs, photos, pricing (charter fee and estimated APA), and Josh’s personal notes on each vessel. No generic listings — a hand-picked selection for your group specifically.
3. Questions, Viewings & Refinement
   Once you have reviewed the proposals, Josh answers every question you have. If you would like to see a yacht in person before booking (highly recommended for longer charters or first-time charterers), we arrange that. We refine the selection until you have found the right vessel.
4. Booking & MYBA Contract
   When you are ready to proceed, Josh handles all the paperwork. The charter agreement follows the standard MYBA format — the industry benchmark, designed to protect both charterers and yacht owners. A deposit of 50% of the charter fee is payable on signing. The balance falls due 6–8 weeks before departure. The contract is clear, fair, and fully explained before you sign anything.
5. Pre-Departure Planning & Itinerary
   In the weeks before your charter, Josh works with you and the captain to plan your itinerary in detail. Your provisioning preferences are gathered and sent to the chef. Any special occasions, dietary requirements, or experiences you want to include are noted. You receive a comprehensive pre-departure briefing so that when you step aboard, everything is already perfectly arranged.
6. Cast Off & Enjoy
   You arrive at the marina, step aboard your private yacht, meet your crew, and the adventure begins. Josh remains available throughout your charter for any assistance you need — whether that is a restaurant recommendation, a weather update, or simply checking in to make sure everything is perfect. Your only job is to enjoy every moment.
